Financial aid is applicable to all Principia Study Abroad programs, based on the student’s individual award package as determined by the Financial Aid office.
For full-semester programs, the amount of financial aid students were awarded will be applied to their tuition, room and board for the program. Additional expenses will include a $500 administrative fee and the cost of your flight (up to $1,500).
For break programs, the percentage of your financial aid award package will apply to the tuition of these programs. Students are responsible for room and board ($300 per week for our programs), a $150 administrative fee, and the cost of your flight (up to $1,500).
The Financial Aid Director and Study Abroad Program Managers are willing to discuss ways to help students afford the cost of study abroad programming.

Study Abroad Grant
Students who receive Principia need-based aid grants (this does not include merit scholarships) are eligible for an additional Study Abroad Grant to help with expenses not covered by financial aid and scholarships. These costs may include flights, room and board, administrative fee, and opportunity costs. Preference is given to students who demonstrate financial need, are first-time study abroad participants, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
