What lights your fire and gets you fully engaged in life?

Being involved in my local community (Village Trustee), experiencing natural wonders large and small, discussing a great book with friends, connecting with siblings across cultures, learning languages, marching for causes I believe in, hanging with my family, feeling God’s nearness.

Share a little about your family.

Meet my greatest joys in life (warning:  they are numerous). Son Pablo (Facebook/Responsible Innovation) and Silvana (attorney at SEC), Mati (4) and Amaya (2) in San Francisco.  Daughter Clarissa (twin to Pablo & recently VP at Hult) and Ben (Enroot), Sofia (8) and Kai (6) in Cambridge MA.  Son Daniel (doc film editor/maker; premiering in Sept.: Le Carrefour) and Amanda (organic farmer) are midcoast Mainers.  Daughter Eloise (Facebook/ Communications) and Chad (Blue Origin and private pilot) in Seattle. Sister Char & fam in Sydney. And Duncan, my amazing husband, right here in Elsah.  Love ‘em all beyond words!

What do you love about your work?

Watching students broaden their worldview, embrace cultural bridge-building and stretch in new ways on a study abroad program.
