What are you most interested in learning about while you are in Ireland?
I have always admired cultures that embrace The Arts and I am excited to learn about how much of an impact art has had in shaping Ireland. I can’t wait to experience the traditional Irish theatre styles, as well as the unique storytelling aspect of the culture.
What are you most interested in seeing? Doing?
I am looking forward to engaging in conversations with locals and to traveling throughout the country. I think it will be very educational to experience the city life as well as the more rural areas of Ireland. I also can’t believe that we have the opportunity to do workshops in the Abbey Theatre.
Is there a particular course that you’re excited about? Why?
As a theatre major, I am excited about that dramatic element of the abroad and I am particularly excited about the group devising project. I have never taken a devise theatre class before, so I am eager to see how our abroad works together and how the culture influences the work that we create.
What is the thing about traveling to a different country that you’re most looking forward to?
I have never been out of the country before, so I am very excited to make the most of this trip by learning, observing and experiencing as much as I can. I feel so grateful to spend a whole eight weeks in a totally different part of the world and to have an opportunity make meaningful connections with the members of the abroad as well as those I meet in country. I am ready to try new things and to fully give myself to this process.
