What are you most interested in learning about while you are in Ireland?

I’m interested in learning about their theaters. I want to learn more about the formation of the theater in Ireland and how it was affected by the British art forms and beliefs. I want to learn the perspectives that guide the way writers will write their plays and directors will direct their productions.

What are you most interested in seeing? Doing?

I am super interested in seeing the Cliffs of Moher. Every time I stare at a picture of that I can’t help but imagine how amazing God’s creation is and how amazing that I get to be part of this.

I’m also excited to meet actors, playwrights, and directors!

Is there a particular course that you’re excited about? Why?

I’m excited about the Devised work we will do while in Ireland. I love the fact that we get to write about our own experiences and we get to work out as a group how we want to portray these experience and pick the stories that best define our life in Ireland and put them together in a way that is not just telling a story, but inviting the audience to have a taste (and somewhat experience) of what we lived while in Ireland.

What is the thing about traveling to a different country that you’re most looking forward to?

I love meeting people with different ways of looking at life; meeting people who value different things that I value and because of that behave differently. I’m excited to learn why they came to think the way they think and why they value what they value. I guess I just love meeting people that are different from me, and then find out that at the same time we always have something we share in common.
