I interviewed an artist at the Print Festival at Stirling University named Catherine King. She was there with her husband, who was packing up while we were talking. She told me she had been doing art and workshops for several decades, and it was her 3rd time attending that festival. She mentioned that whenever she does her art, it’s never an idea or concept that someone else prompted her to do, and it’s always things she wants to create herself. She loves her family and her adult kids as they were brought up many times throughout our interview including her telling me that she wasn’t going to attend the festival next year as she was going to go on vacation with her family.
