Hi! I’m Patrick Sherman and I’m from Toronto, Canada. As a Mathematics major at Prin, I am especially excited for this abroad as an opportunity to try something completely different from what my time at Prin has been focused on so far. Music has always been important to me as I grew up playing piano since the age of 6 and listening to music in all aspects of my life. In fact, I might not have made it through many of my math assignments without music. I am so excited for the opportunity to travel to Europe and study music in such musically historic cities. Call me cliché, but I am most looking forward to seeing the Nutcracker in Prague around Christmas time. I am actually most excited to go to Prague because when I originally applied for the abroad it was the place I knew the least about. Since being accepted to the abroad and telling family and friends where I am going, Prague has been the place most praised of the three and there are many recommended places I now have to visit! Music is so important to society because it adds so much colour to our lives. I can’t wait to expand my horizons and travel to three countries I have never been to and study this colour all along the way.
