I am Karen Trevor-Roberts, from St. Louis, Missouri. I am a music major, and I play the violin. Throughout my whole life, I always relied on music as a positive way to express my creativity. I love several aspects of music, such as performing on many different instruments, teaching others about music, and listening to music. Music is my whole career; it is what I enjoy about life. I love traveling, so I am super excited to see how I can go on an abroad that specifically focuses on my favorite subject, music. There are so many things I am excited to see during the abroad. The city I am most looking forward to visiting is Vienna. Vienna has exciting musical history and museums that house famous and historical musical instruments. In Vienna, we will see Beethoven’s Symphony no.9, which is one of my favorite symphonies. I also am very excited to see The Nutcracker in Prague, which is something I have wanted to see my whole life. Music is super important not only for myself, but for humanity as a whole. Music is known as the universal language around the globe, which I know to be true. I am able to enjoy music that was written in other languages and cultures. I am able to connect with other people about music memes and other musical related topics. I am extremely grateful that I have this amazing opportunity to be a part of the Music in Europe abroad.
