Why are you excited about going on the Iceland abroad?
This will be my first
experience outside of the United States, so I am excited to learn more about
Icelandic culture, try my best to learn some Icelandic, and understand in
greater depth the issues of central importance to the Icelandic people such as
the preservation of the natural environment. I look forward to a diverse
exposure to different leadership styles and learning more about how my role as
a leader can change in different circumstances. Most of all, I look forward to
being challenged: challenged to think in new ways, challenged to learn more
about myself, and challenged to become a better global citizen.

The historical and contemporary
politics of Iceland.
