What most excites you about India and Nepal?

I’m so excited to dive right into the fresh cultural experience and see what I can bring back to share with others. India and Nepal are on the other side of the world and it is something entirely different than what we are used to. There’s so much to learn while abroad and share upon returning and I can’t wait!

What is important to you?

Compassion and understanding are extremely important to me. These are qualities that help someone maintain an open mind and heart, which is something that will be pertinent throughout this abroad. Having these qualities helps to understand others’ perspectives and outlooks on life, while also cultivating loving and peaceful relations. Practicing these qualities in daily life makes a significant positive change and others to do the same.

How would you spend your time, if money were no object?

Cliche as it may sound, I’d love to travel. Travel is so much more than seeing beautiful places. One is exposed to a multitude of cultures and general knowledge. The more experience one has, the more they are able to give back to the world and educate others.

What do you want to be better at?

I’d like to be better at being more present in the moment. With college flying by, it’s so easy to get caught up in trying to be perfect and successful. The desire to achieve the highest level of personal success causes people to look to the future and think about what will help them reach their ideal point rather than being present in the now and being grateful for what is currently in front of them.
