This large residence hall for women was designed as a men’s house and originally intended to be built on the site of Brooks House. The complex Maybeck plan was adapted to the present hillside location by Henry Gutterson in 1946. Annie Maybeck commented that this was to be Maybeck’s most beautiful dormitory. The varied gables and low massing of the house still effect a charming cluster of village cottages.
