The purpose of the United Kingdom Study Abroad program is to help students discover and nurture the artist within themselves and appreciate the art around them. We will explore art in various forms – ancient to contemporary – the actor, poet, painter, writer, designer, critic, producer, and scholar. Through exploring the works and worlds of Shakespeare, Ruskin, Wordsworth, Turner, and many others, we will gain inspiration for our own creative expressions, including art, design, acting, and producing our own Shakespeare play on campus.   

Students will experience a wide diversity of locations – from Scotland to England, coast to coast, cities to villages, castles to gardens, museums to libraries, theaters and historic homes – to gain an in-depth understanding of the history and culture of the United Kingdom, through the eyes of the artist.
