My name is Lindsey and I am a junior in college. I am majoring in Education & Religion. I am from Laguna Beach, California. I am extremely excited about so many aspects of the St. Lucia abroad program. Specifically, I look forward to observing facilitators within the outdoor leadership field, developing my own facilitation and teaching skills, becoming close friends with peers in the program, participating in outdoor activities unique to St. Lucia, experiencing rich culture, and traveling to a part of the world to which I’ve never been. When understanding a place, I believe it’s important to be open-minded, curious, authentic, loving, respectful, friendly, and explorative. One of the most meaningful places to me is Emerald Bay in Laguna Beach, California. When I think of eBay, I think of family connections, warm summers, and beautiful childhood memories. Another meaningful place is the A/U Ranches in Buena Vista, Colorado, because I am reminded of adventurous expeditions, close friendships, and personal growth.
