My name is Delaney Gatine and I am a senior in college. I am majoring in Political Science and English. I am from Foothill Ranch, CA.I am excited to learn about leadership in an experiential setting and to be immersed in a completely different culture than I’ve ever experienced. I think that, to understand a place, it is necessary to understand its history and people. Nations such as St. Lucia have an incredibly rich history that contributes to the cultural, social, and economic aspects of the place. One of the most meaningful places to me is my house because my mom and I completely designed it after the original structure burnt completely down in a fire and it perfectly exemplifies my ability to rise from struggle better than I was before.
