What intrigues/excites you about the Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia & Herzegovina program?
- I’m really looking forward to seeing the beautiful cities and countryside in these amazing countries. Learning about the recent conflicts in these countries has fascinated me and makes me excited to see what a country looks like that has recovered so recently from war and conflict.
Where do you most look forward to visiting during our program?
- I’m so excited to see the coast of Croatia. And of course, the coffee shops😎
What has been the most meaningful idea you’ve discovered or learned about the idea of shifting borders so far?
- Even in the world we live in, borders continue to be changing/shifting. People that call these countries their home live an unpredictable life, not knowing if the country they live in will be the same place in their lifetime.
What do you hope to either learn yourself or share with others about world literature (based on what you know so far)?
- I’m really excited to relate how world literature is relevant to the citizens of Bosnia, Croatia, and Slovenia.
For me, the SloCroBoH Abroad is an opportunity to learn more about different cultures, meet new people, and to experience what life is like outside of the USA.
Who is your favorite Greek God?
- Achilles
