What most excites you about India and Nepal?

Exploring how other cultures celebrate the richness of life through faith, food, community and the sanctity of our natural world. I’m excited to meet, learn from, and immerse ourselves with those who also believe in a foundation of oneness of Love and selfless giving.

Also, traditional craft is a personal interest of mine, so learning techniques of dyeing, weaving, carving, and how these textiles and materials are harvested will be so enriching!

What is important to you?

Love. Love for family, community, all living beings, even differing views, and of course how to be a kinder neighbor.

How would you spend your time, if money were no object?

Storytelling and small-scale farming. I’d love to host workshops and set up recording studios to capture family histories, cultural experiences, and personal stories that help our communities understand one another better. In addition to the studio, one could sip on homegrown tea, collect vegetables from the garden, and romp around the trails with their parents and children.

What do you want to be better at?

Slowing down and being more present. With a thousand ideas floating around and a steady desire to be of help to others, sometimes the greatest lesson is to be still and simply listen. Other times, it’s to act with grace and humility. Discovering that balance is so much fun, and I’m very grateful to have the chance to ask others how they navigate this balance.
