Tapping into the Flow: Teaching and Making Art Above the Mississippi River, October 14 – February 2, 2018

Recognizing the centrality of the visual arts at Principia College throughout its history, this exhibition brings together for the first time works by fourteen artist-teachers at the College—from Frederick Oakes Sylvester to the current studio art faculty–as well as the College’s esteemed architect, Bernard Maybeck.  The exhibition, curated by studio art professors Duncan Martin and Paul Ryan, also celebrates the completion of the new Voney Art Center and the establishment of the James K. Schmidt Gallery.
