What has been the most meaningful idea you’ve discovered or learned about in the program so far?
- Defining the difference between patriotism and nationalism, and looking at the dangers of mislabeling.
What do you hope to either learn yourself or share with others about the program (based on what you know so far)?
- My historical study tends to focus on the late medieval and early modern eras of history, so I can add historical depth to some of the historical discussions we have by putting things in a larger context.
What are you most interested in learning about while you are in Berlin?
- I’m interested in learning more about current day Berlin culture, and how a society develops after such horrible and catastrophic events.
What pastry or food are you most excited to try in Berlin?
- I’m very excited to try everything in Berlin, but right now I’m the most curious to see what coffee is like in Germany.
