Dr. Brian Roberts has been a member of the faculty in the Political Science Department at Principia College since 1997. His expertise is in the subfields of the American presidency and Congress. He has delivered numerous papers at professional conferences on topics pertaining to presidential elections, presidential approval and presidential leadership strategies. He has also co-authored an article on gubernatorial succession in The Book of the States, a leading reference source on state government. He has also presented numerous papers on experiential and project-centered learning in higher education. Dr. Roberts is a graduate of Principia College and earned his MA in Government from the University of Virginia and PhD in political science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
