On Friday, April 5th, at 1 pm, Bickerstaff will facilitate a professional development workshop at Wanamaker Hall.

This 90-minute workshop features a primer on Generative AI. Bickerstaff will showcase the application of various AI platforms through the use of AI for Education’s Prompt Library for Educators and the 5s Framework. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops to engage fully in this hands-on experience.

McEvoy is scheduled to discuss “Life in the Machine: How AI will impact YOU”Thursday, April 4, at Wanamaker Hall at 
6:30pm.

As the creator of You The Data, McEvoy fosters discussions on technology, artificial intelligence, and data utilization in society. The website critically examines the impact of emerging technologies from the standpoint of ordinary people, communities, and non-technical organizations.

Author & Journalist

Stephen Marche will deliver the keynote address at PAC 2024 in Wanamaker Hall at 7:30 pm.

His Talk is titled, “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Language and Learning”. 

His insightful contributions to major publications such as The Atlantic, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, and Esquire, where he penned a monthly column, have made him a respected voice in debates on technology, society, and culture. In “The Chatbot Problem” published in The New Yorker, Stephen tackled the ethical dilemmas of AI, exploring the nuanced challenges of bias and the ethical framework necessary for the equitable distribution of language.

Join Principia’s Assistant Professor of Computer Science, Brett Huffman as he explores faith and AI. Huffman is a PHD candidate researching Machine Learning and Explainability.
Huffman has been teaching at Principia since 2018 and covers a range of classes including in numerous classes, including Database Management, Computer Networking, Advanced C++ Programming, and Software Engineering
