How to Assess and Release Student Work<\/h2>

Part I: Assessing Students\u2019 Work<\/h3>
  1. Go to prinweb.principia.edu<\/a> and log in to Portfolio using single sign-on.<\/li>
  2. Click on \u201cPending Assessments.\"chalk1\"<\/li><\/ol>
    1. Once redirected to the next page, click on \u201cPending,\u201d under the word \u201cStatus.\u201d A black box will appear, so click \u201cAssess.\u201d\"chalknum3\"<\/li><\/ol>
      1. The student\u2019s work will open in a new page. Assess their work by clicking on the box that best describes student performance for each criterion (see the blue arrow below).\u00a0 If you would like to see a hard copy of their work, you can download it by clicking on the file name in the middle of the page.\u00a0 To assess the student\u2019s work,\u00a0\u00a0 click in the boxes.\u00a0 Once finished assessing the work, click \u201cSave Changes.\u201d<\/li><\/ol>
        1. Be sure \u201cNo\u201d is in the \u201cNotify Student\u201d box and \u201cHeld until released\u201d is in the \u201cRelease Results\u201d box.\"chalknum5\"<\/li><\/ol>
          1. The student\u2019s work is assessed, but now it needs to be released. This step should not be completed until all students\u2019 work has been assessed.<\/u><\/strong><\/li><\/ol>

            Part II: Releasing Students\u2019 Work \u2013 complete this step when all work has been assessed<\/h3>
            1. At the top of the Portfolio website, click \u201cAssessment,\u201d and a drop down menu will appear. Click on \u201cAssess.\u201d\u00a0 In the small, peach box on the left side, click the number<\/u><\/strong> which will direct you to the unreleased assessments.\"chalkpart2num1\"<\/li><\/ol>
              1. On the right side of the page, click \u201cSelect All\u201d above the \u201cRelease\u201d button. This will check all of the assignments.\u00a0 Then you click \u201cRelease.\u201d\u00a0 This will release all of the assignments that you have assessed.<\/li><\/ol>
                1. Congratulations, you have now assessed and released the assessments. Please remember to log out of Portfolio.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
