While it’s not exactly the final countdown, we do only have 4 full weeks left in the semester. Recently I have noticed that the students I see are telling me more about upcoming tests and projects they have in their courses. As the semester is winding down in weeks but winding up in assignments, students need to work more diligently. Since there are still 4 full weeks left in the semester before finals, there are many teaching opportunities left. It isn’t too late to provide strategies for the students to be successful. In my inbox, I recently received an email titled “Study Strategies Before, During, and After Class.” This blog post provides several manageable strategies to help students be more reflective about their engagement during class and lectures, as well as their involvement with their learning.
