Creative Writing Workshop

This morning, Dinah led the students in creative writing workshop for ENGL 345: Creative Writing on Location. To prepare for the workshop, we read and made notes about poems written by 4 students in the group. Writing workshop provides a safe and constructive space to discuss these poems in a community.

We had the workshop in our art studio, surrounded by the second large drawings-in-progress.

In these drawings, students are combining and composing their photos of the “train graveyard” next to our art studio. The intention is to make a composite drawing of many parts and pieces in a way that plays with form and moves away from representation.
