What is your hometown?

Exton, Pennsylvania

What is your major(s)/minor(s)?

I have a major in Mass Communication with a concentration in Multi-platform and a minor in Outdoor Education.

At this point in your life, what is important/meaningful to you?

I believe that it is very important to continue to have a childlike outlook to life as we face the challenges of the day. I find that the best way to face adversity is to see the good in each situation while learning to give gratitude for those moments as each one is an opportunity for growth, even if that means reflecting on it after the fact. Striving to be childlike allows for those challenges to be met with joy and excitement.

What most intrigues and excites you about the Aotearoa/New Zealand study abroad?

The opportunity to create visual content in the stunning landscape that is New Zealand has me so incredibly excited for this abroad. I cannot wait to use the skills that I have acquired from my experience at Principia to help in documenting this journey our group is embarking on this summer.

What is the most meaningful idea you’ve discovered or learned about Aotearoa/New Zealand so far?

I think that it is such a beautiful culture in the ways that they express true connectedness to one another through spirituality. I also look up to the trust the culture cultivates and how everyone is seen and not forgotten.

For me, the Aotearoa/New Zealand abroad is an opportunity to … push myself outside my comfort zone and to chase the butterflies that come with it. Everyday will be an opportunity for growth and learning, both for myself and the people around me.
