At this point in your life, what is important/meaningful to you?
My family and friends are incredibly important to me. I value those who support me in my growth and achieving my goals. My faith and relationship with God is also one the most meaningful things in my life.
What most intrigues and excites you about the Aotearoa/New Zealand study abroad?
I am incredibly excited to explore a new culture and be entirely immersed within it for an entire month. I am most interested to learn about the Maori peoples connection with the land and how it may contrast with a more Western model of thinking.
What is the most meaningful idea you’ve discovered or learned about Aotearoa/New Zealand so far?
The most meaningful thing I’ve learned thus far about New Zealand is the wide range of cultures and ideologies that we may encounter while we are there. It is truly such a diverse country and there is so much to discover.
For me, the Aotearoa/New Zealand abroad is an opportunity to … expand my view as a global learner and gain an in-depth understanding of another culture.
