What has been the most meaningful idea you’ve discovered or learned so far in preparation for your study abroad to Nepal?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the course of preparing for the trip, it’s been wonderful to be reminded of how many people are actively working toward climate justice in the Himalayas (and across the world). I’m grateful to be able to highlight their work and introduce the students to new ideas which we hope will dramatically change the way they see Nepal–and their own backyards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For me, the Nepal Study Abroad is an opportunity to… <\/strong>share something that I love! Nepal is very close to my heart, and it’s so much fun to share it with the students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you want to be better at?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’d love to be better at understanding ways of learning that are different from my own. I’m excited to share my ways of knowing and learning with the group, but I also want to be open to new ways of learning that others have to share with me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does learning about climate crisis in Nepal shape the way you view, and want to engage with, the world?<\/strong> Over the last few years it’s helped me to understand in very specific, grounded ways how climate crisis is tied to anything and everything. In our examination of climate crisis in Mustang, we’ll see how its impacts are interwoven with infrastructure, development, demographic change, and other aspects of life. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
