What has been the most meaningful idea you’ve discovered or learned so far in preparation for your study abroad to Nepal?
The most interesting concept I have learnt in preparation for my trip to Nepal is to listen and drop all the biases we may have about a place we are going to, and instead to engage and learn from the locals.
For me, the Nepal Study Abroad is an opportunity to…explore a place and culture that is different from mine and learn about their culture and history, as well as the changes taking place in Mustang as a result of the climate crisis and other factors.
What do you want to be better at?
I want to be better at communicating, leadership and intercultural competence.
How does learning about climate crisis in Nepal shape the way you view, and want to engage with, the world?
Learning about the climate crisis in Nepal has taught me to engage with the climate crisis from a more place-based perspective, its intersectionality with other problems in society and the importance of resilience and climate justice.
