What has been the most meaningful idea you’ve discovered or learned so far in preparation for your study abroad to Nepal?
The most meaningful idea I’ve learned so far in preparation for this study abroad is how the country varies geographically across the nation, and this corresponds to different religious practices, economics, languages, and ethnic groups, too.
For me, the Nepal Study Abroad is an opportunity to…learn about the interconnectedness between the environment and people’s livelihoods.
What do you want to be better at? I would like to grow in my ability to learn about people’s cultures through the deeper aspects of cultures, not just the surface-level aspects that are easier to notice.
How does learning about climate crisis in Nepal shape the way you view, and want to engage with, the world? I think that this abroad will help me to consider how farming practices may change over the course of the next few decades, since I am interested in agriculture and where food comes from.
