What has been the most meaningful idea you’ve discovered or learned so far in preparation for your study abroad to Italy/Malta?
The most meaningful thing that I have learned in preparation for my time in Italy/Malta, is the importance of intentional learning. As well as arriving to any situation with a willingness to understand and grow.
For me, the Italy/Malta Study Abroad is an opportunity to…grow in my ability to communicate, and learn in a new experience, while also being spiritually minded. Also… to eat some good food and see wonderful new sights.
What do you want to be better at?
I would love to grow in my ability to tell a story in a narrative that flows. I would love to improve my communication and team collaboration skills.
How does learning about storytelling through art and journalism shape the way you view, and want to engage with, the world?
Learning more about storytelling through art and journalism helps me remember that everyone everywhere has a story to tell. A painting, a sculpture, they both have stories and histories to tell and to share. I am learning how to tell those stories and when to tell those stories in order to do the most good.
