What topic pertaining to the Holy Land are you researching?

I plan to compare international relations in the Bible to the modern day.

What idea have you found inspiring as you’ve prepared for the abroad and/or prayed for the Middle East?

The Met idea I have been working with is God’s ever presence.  I have been trying to just be one with the idea that God is everywhere and it really does not matter where I go for I will always be a part of His kingdom. Thus, His protection, His love, and His care will never leave me.  So I do not have to fear terrorism, or any other material suggestions because God’s protection is just as powerful there as it is here.

What biblical character or site would you want to be or do you feel you are like?

I think I would be John.  I have always admired and looked up to him and hopefully I reflect some of his qualities.

What is the place or activity you are most looking forward to on the abroad?

I am most looking forward to just walking around Jerusalem. It is one of the oldest cities in the world, and it will be fascinating to see so much history in one place
