What topic pertaining to the Holy Land are you researching?

I am researching the role of the Messiah in Old Testament theology and how Jews practice Judaism today.

What idea have you found inspiring as you’ve prepared for the abroad and/or prayed for the Middle East?

An idea I’ve found inspiring in praying for the abroad is Jesus’ line in Matthew that “Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.” as a reminder to be constantly watchful of my thought when approaching the abroad and not let fear creep in about our experience. The Rule for Motives and Acts in the Manual I have also found to be inspirational in approaching our interaction with people of many different human backgrounds.

What biblical character or site would you want to be or do you feel you are like?

The biblical character I would want to be is either John or Elijah, because they both were so clearly able to discern reality and remove themselves from material sense.

What is the place or activity you are most looking forward to on the abroad?

I am most looking forward to going to the Garden Tomb because I think it will just be very blessed to see where Jesus was buried and resurrected.
