What topic pertaining to the Holy Land are you researching?

I am researching Israeli-Palestinian peacemaking efforts and how young people are getting involved.

What idea have you found inspiring as you’ve prepared for the abroad and/or prayed for the Middle East?

I’ve been enjoying the opportunity to pray for the world and thinking of the international community as made up of our neighbors.  In class we read an article titled, “God is Our Protector” by Robert Early Meriwether in the February 23, 1998 issue of the Sentinel.  I appreciated the reminder that we must stand porter at the door of thought and as the Bible says, “Perfect love casteth out fear” (1 John 4:18).

What biblical character or site would you want to be or do you feel you are like

I took the BuzzFeed quiz, ‘Which Bible character are you?’ and it said I am Mary Magdalene.

What is the place or activity you are most looking forward to on the abroad?

I am most looking forward to visiting the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.  It was the location that I chose to give a presentation on when we visited Bible Lands park at Cedars.  It fascinates me because there it is considered to house two of the holiest sites in Christianity and how several Christian denominations share control of the Church.
