What topic pertaining to the Holy Land are you researching?

I’m researching law and the evolution of law from the Bible to today, but in particular, how old Jewish law came to be and how we still look at it today when we study the Bible as Christian Scientists.

What idea have you found inspiring as you’ve prepared for the abroad and/or prayed for the Middle East?

I’ve been loving the idea of how each and every one of us–no matter where we are born–is still their best, childlike selves. And from Mary Lou Lownacki, “Engrave this upon your heart: there isn’t anyone you couldn’t love once you heard their story.”

What biblical character or site would you want to be or do you feel you are like?

I’m a fan of David the shepherd. He just did his thing, focused on what he was good at, and trusted in God. And that was all he needed to do.

What is the place or activity you are most looking forward to on the abroad?

I’m most looking forward to the historical sites in general–being a huge history nerd will do that to you. Arriving at each different one where a different momentous thing happened is always awesome.
