How would you describe yourself?

I would describe myself as a fun and caring person who likes to be active in the outdoors as much as possible.

Which Greek deity to you most identify with and why?

Hermes is the deity I most identify with because of the associations with movement, shepherding, mediation, and with traveling across boundaries.  And as a track coach and runner, I like his winged sandals. I’ll try to buy a pair in Greece.

What do you most look forward to during the Greece program?

I look forward to getting to know everyone better and experiencing Greece together.  I’m excited about learning about philosophy in the context of modern day Greece.

What has been the most meaningful idea/fact you have learned in this program so far?

I am enjoying exploring the origins of thought and meaning. I love the theme of Logos for this program because it encourages us to question our understanding and see the world from different foundations of thought.

At this point in your life, what is important/meaningful to you?The most important thing to me at this point in my life is family.  Family is at the center of my life, and I like to think of family as the expansive circle of people that help us find meaning in the world.
