What has been the most meaningful idea you’ve discovered or learned so far in preparation for your study abroad to Finland?
That Finnish happiness is linked in large part to the support structures that exist as part of the Nordic welfare state.
For me, the Finland Study Abroad is an opportunity to…
Let our lights shine! I look forward to experiencing Finnish culture with the group together, and to witnessing some students’ first experiences abroad. What questions might come up? How might students be internalizing all that they observe? What will stay with us, beyond our time in the country? I’m eager to be a part of each student’s learning journey.
What do you want to be better at?
Listening to God in the small moments. Operating out of a spiritual foundation, how can we better support one another? How can we feel spiritual support upholding us, in all circumstances?
How does learning about Finnish education, sustainability, and culture shape the way you view, and want to engage with, the world?
I look forward to seeing the interlinkages even more whilst in country, as I tend to focus in on culture and sociocultural topics. Here’s to thinking across disciplines!
