What has been the most meaningful idea you’ve discovered or learned so far in preparation for your study abroad to Ecuador?

We’ve spent a good amount of time discussing the idea of cultural competency and global citizenship, and coming from the perspective of a future educator, I am really excited to immerse myself in the culture and learn how to appropriately experience new cultures. This preparation is imperative as we should be aware of how to get the most out of this experience without being a negative presence in the places we go

For me, the Ecuador Study Abroad is an opportunity to…

Experience new culture and jump at every opportunity, I am bursting with excitement as we approach travel day, and I just know that the places we will go and the things we will see will be a once in a lifetime opportunity.

What makes you most curious (in life, in general)?

Seeing new places and experiencing new things. I always love learning about new things, especially new animals.

What is the best piece of advice/wisdom you’ve ever been given?

When things are bringing you down, try to give gratitude. There are always things you can be grateful for.

What do you look forward to the most in Ecuador?

I am thrilled about going to the Galapagos because of all the swimming we will do and all the animals we will see.
