Acorn Teacher Assistant / Manager of Summer Childcare
- Starting June 2022
Supports the Acorn Teacher by helping provide a welcoming and friendly learning environment where children and their parents can explore creative learning experiences; interacts with the students and helps engage them in new activities. Manages summer care for children eight weeks – age three; hires, trains, and schedules summer staff, plans and implements age-appropriate activities, purchases supplies, prepares the learning environment, and attends meetings. M-F Part-time (8:00 a.m. – 1:00 pm. School year), Full time June and two weeks in July (8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.)

Campus Security Officer
- Full-time (evening, overnight, and weekend shift), 12-month position beginning as soon as possible
Summary: This position serves the Principia community, guests, and the general visiting public by upholding and prayerfully supporting Principia’s standard of safety and security. The campus security officer is responsible for providing a security presence while monitoring traffic flow, cameras, card access systems, parking, special events, and the everyday activities of people on campus. Officers are required to maintain professional training and standards in accordance with departmental requirements. It is the duty of this position to respond to and assist the campus community with security matters and/or emergencies as campus first responders. Officers must obtain American Red Cross certification in CPR and First Aid (training provided). Officers are expected to conduct ongoing safety patrols during the school day, providing special attention to student-occupied buildings. During after-school hours, the focus shifts to pedestrian and fan safety during athletics events, while the safety and protection of boarding students is the focus during the evening. The ideal candidate should express good judgment, be detail oriented, respect and maintain confidentiality, and display a strong sense of principle and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications:

Director of Enrollment Management
- Full-time, 12-month position starting as soon as possible
Position Summary: The Director is responsible for the Admissions and Enrollment Management functions of Principia School, including financial aid, recruiting, and retention strategies for Early Learning through grade 12. The Director is a dynamic and innovative leader who will provide the leadership, strategic direction, and coordination for a comprehensive enrollment strategy that is aggressive and forward-looking, and consistent with the goals, mission, and resources of Principia. The new Director will work with senior leadership to analyze and understand the competitive landscape in order to set realistic and strategic enrollment targets and guide School enrollment. This is a transformational role in centralizing Principia’s admissions and enrollment management efforts across the School’s wide variety and diversity of students. The new Director will lead the effort to examine tradeoffs and establish priorities, setting an ambitious course that best reflects the distinctiveness of the School and its mission, and best supports its possibilities and aspirations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Summary: Creates and promotes a vision for the dorm; directs, mentors, coaches, develops, and supervises the residential counselors and is proactive in assuring the Upper School residential life program provides an atmosphere of love and trust which supports and encourages the spiritualization of thought, character development and serves the Cause of Christian Science. Executive Assistant to Director of AFR and Project Manager

Summary: The Executive Assistant to the Senior Director of Alumni & Field Relations is responsible for the overall operation and management of the Alumni & Field Relations Office (AFR), performing a variety of professional and administrative duties that facilitate the day-to-day operations and supporting Principia Lifelong Learning (PLL) as well. The Assistant must be able to multi-task and be mission and results driven. The ideal individual should exercise good judgment, possess strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills. Summary: The MS Math teacher is a core faculty member who is involved in all daily activities in the MS. Stewardship Coordinator
- Full-time, 12 month position starting as soon as possible
Responsible for coordinating stewardship for named and award funds including Fund Authorizations creation, bi-weekly gift receipts distribution and filing, and other assigned projects. Support processes must sustain positive and mutually rewarding relations between The Principia and its donors. The Coordinator collaborates with Advancement offices and maintains ongoing and active networking with other internal constituencies. This position also supports minimal research requirements for the Advancement team.

Athletics Graduate Assistant
- Part-time, 9-month position beginning August 2021.
Summary: The Head Strength and Conditioning Coach works in close association with other sport coaches to develop systematic training programs for both teams and individual athletes to increase their athletic performance in specific sports. This is accomplished by developing the strength, speed, flexibility, or endurance, of student-athletes depending on the needs or the requirements of the sport. This work includes teaching proper lifting techniques, supervising and motivating athletes as they work out, and assessing their performance. 9-month, part-time position.

The purpose of the graduate assistant program is two-fold: 1. To assist with athletic department needs with the emphasis being to enhance the current student-athlete experience. 2. To develop the skills and knowledge of the graduate assistant in the field of sport management, as well as coaching through direct application. Part-time, 9-month position.
