How do we elucidate the concept of depth of knowledge not only for our students but also for ourselves?\u00a0 We know that scaffolding assignments accomplishes a graduation to the more challenging aspects of our class goals. But, how do we know if the students are not just staying on the surface of the information but are going deeper into the texts and materials?
