elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"1\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1751\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"false\"><h3>Faculty Learning Community (FLC)<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>Faculty in the Center for Teaching and Learning lead Faculty Learning Communities with different focuses. Faculty meet regularly to discuss topics such as classroom management, pedagogy, and best teaching practices. These meetings often include collegial sharing across disciplines and innovative teaching tips. For Fall 2020 and Spring 2021, these meetings are held virtually and recorded. Contact CTL for topics covered and to view recordings of past sessions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<h3>Remote Teaching Faculty Learning Community<\/h3>\n<p>This community meets biweekly via <a href=\"https:\/\/principia-edu.zoom.us\/j\/87823250350?pwd=dGs2SXM2ekptSExUbVlhNE9WcHlidz09;\">Zoom<\/a>&nbsp;on Wednesdays from 4:20-5:20 PM (Central Time) . Each meeting is themed on topics such as tools and strategies for the remote classroom, designing and developing online tests, collecting and responding to student feedback, and metaphysical sharing. Requests are welcomed! Each session is led by one or more CTL faculty members, who invite other faculty to share their expertise. For session recordings, contact <a href=\"mailto:ellen.spragu@principia.edu\">ellen.sprague@principia.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<h3>Works in Progress (WIP)<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>This learning community, usually led by a CTL faculty member, gets faculty together to read manuscripts (articles, dissertation chapters, etc.) and drafts of conference presentation papers. Faculty put forward a draft to read, noting areas of question or concern, and the rest of the group reads, makes notes, and gives feedback to help move the writer toward publication..<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-1752\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Student Learning Communities<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1752\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1752\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><h3>Student Learning Community<\/h3>\n<p>The All Student Learning Community comprises both a Canvas \u201ccourse\u201d and a weekly Zoom session for both on and off campus students. The Canvas course was designed to be a space for Principia\u2019s students to connect with each other and know about campus activities. It is a one-stop site where they can access resources and connect with CTL faculty and one another.&nbsp; Spring 2021 has a new feature, Mindful Mondays, introducing new ideas each week to engage mindfully with the demands of college life. The course contains interactive discussion boards; weekly announcements; and modules with regularly updated links to remote social events, study resources, and spiritual inspiration. The Canvas course links&nbsp; to the ALL Student Learning Community Zoom session, which takes place on Mondays from 8:00-9:00 PM (Central Time). This zoom room is a place where all learners can just pop in to say hi to each other, or stay on for longer discussions and have a shared space to work together. The CTL\u2019s post-graduate teaching intern, Marie Sherman, manages both the Canvas course and Zoom room and is available to support students\u2019 writing and other academic projects.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<h3><b style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-size: 15px;\">Write-In SEries (WISE) Workspace<\/b><br><\/h3><div>\n<p>While these workspaces are usually themed&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/content.principia.edu\/teaching-excellence\/wise-write-in-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cookies and Capstones; Just Write, Write Now; Recipes for Revising<\/a>&#8211;they are OPEN TO ALL. At WISE you&#8217;ll find space to get work done in a supportive and productive atmosphere. Stop in or stay awhile.
