Nicole Gervais, or more commonly known simply as Gervais to the students, is a 2001 Principia College graduate. She is incredibly excited to be embarking on her fourth trip abroad as an RC. In May of 2017 Gervais was fortunate enough to travel with the first group that went to Slovenia & Croatia (so she’s super excited to add Bosnia this time!) Then, seven months later she skipped out on the frigid Elsah winter for tropical St. Lucia & Grenada. Just this past spring semester it was a full eight weeks in Ireland with yet another amazing group of students. When Gervais isn’t gallivanting the world with students and professors soaking up as much learning as she can, she is coaching soccer (and most recently basketball) at the College. Gervais has coached soccer for both men and women and every age between preschool and college – it is her first love. But now with a family, come June, she’ll finally be fully back home with her awesomesauce husband, amazing kids, and cozy cottage.

| Why Slovenia, Croatia & Bosnia? | Why? Because that’s where Ellen is going 🙂 She showed me in May of 2017 just why she loves it there and I too fell in love. I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to go back and see most of the same stuff again (become a local!), plus see some new things like a bit of Bosnia! |
| What Slovenian landscape feature are you most excited to see, and why? | Having now been there once before, I am eager to see Bled again as it was my favorite but loved every inch we covered. |
