What is the most important or powerful thing the arts have given you?

I’ve always appreciated the arts as a way to think, a mode of thinking that helps me break down and examine concepts and ideas. Whenever I think about what the arts give me, I have to recognize the ideas the arts allow me to navigate. In much the same way, I feel one of the most impactful things the arts do is empower our sensitivity. Artists, especially, instead of growing out of their sensitivities, get to grow into them—and practice developing and maturing them—so that they can be powerful parts of one’s character.

What do you want to take and bring back from Prague and the Czech Republic?

Myself. It is a bit of a shame to constantly lug it everywhere, but besides the fact that I don’t have much of a choice anyway, it has proved overall to be a useful and nice bit of luggage.
