Principia College’s Public Affairs Conference (PAC) is the longest running student-led conference in the nation and has a proud history of bringing world renowned speakers to campus to share their insights and experience on a topic. The conference is run by an Executive Board who selects a relevant topic which servers as the center of the conference. Board members then work collaboratively to book speakers and design an engaging delegate experience which offers ted-style talks, workshops, catered meals, networking opportunities, and more. This is the 70th year anniversary of the conference.
Speakers from past conferences include:
Another speaker from last year’s conference was Caroline Assaf, a social entrepreneur and sustainability professional who serves as the president of Sustainable Cities International and works as an advisory board member for the World Economic Forum initiative, “Shaping the Future of Urban Development and Services.”
Past speaker, Pandora Thomas, a teacher, writer, designer, and speaker, talked about her recent work co-founding the Black Permaculture Network and work with Toyota for a more sustainable world.
Todd Boyman, CEO and Founder of Hungry Planet, also came as a speaker to share his experiences and insights with the campus.
