My name is Emma Hanser, and I am majoring in Biology and minoring in Sustainability. I am interested in the Lake District because I have not been out of the country in years. I am looking forward to getting the opportunity to experience another culture. I also love that the Lake District is focused on natural living and focusing on being more sustainable. It is going to be a great place to study and learn what it means to be natural and how others are able to live that lifestyle. I am the most excited to see and experience a different culture from my own here in the US. I am also excited to see Beatrix Potter’s houses in the Lake District and learn more about her life. Having grown up reading her books, it will be awesome to see where she lived and learn more about her and her life.
