The End of Oil?

This year, between April 8th and 10th, Principia College’s 61st Public Affairs Conference will address questions surrounding energy challenges facing global society in the 21st century, tackling both environmental and economic sides of the issue.

Principia College’s Public Affairs Conference is the oldest student-run conference of its type in the United States. Each year, students from a variety of disciplines at this small Liberal Arts college come together to prepare a conference on a topic relevant to public affairs, bringing specialists from around the world to present on that year’s issue. The conference is designed for undergraduates with keen, curious minds. Specialist information of the topic will be presented in accessible ways. Our goal is to provide a holistic view of a particular issue, preparing students to engage with worldly topics from a more informed standpoint as they leave our bluff-top community for the wider world. The conference is set on the scenic campus of Principia College, in Elsah Illinois, and will last for three days.
