Speakers
The Lucha Noerager Vogel Moral Courage Program includes a speaker series. The speaker series has brought to the Principia College campus individuals from around the world who have been significant exemplars of — or writers on — moral courage. The purpose of the speaker series is to foster an appreciation of moral courage and its importance in every aspect of life.
The Ernie and Lucha Vogel Endowment for Moral Courage at Principia College solely funded the speaker series from 1996 to 2001. The Satterberg Foundation, a family foundation in Seattle, Washington, donated funds to jointly fund the speakers from 2002 to present. Principia is deeply grateful to Lucha Vogel and to the Satterberg Foundation for making the series possible.
Videotapes of these lectures are available for loan through the Principia Field Activities Office at 314-434-2100, ext. 3153 or by emailing field@prin.edu. Many informal groups around the country have used tapes of the lectures as a starting point for lively discussions on moral courage.
The Web site provides transcripts of many of the speakers’ talks as well as information about each speaker.
