As such, it is The Forum\u2019s responsibility to monitor changes in the field of professional practice and maintain, update, and promulgate the\u00a0<em>Standards of Good Practice for Education Abroad<\/em>\u00a0according to the needs of the field.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forumea.org\/resources\/standards-6th-edition\/\">https:\/\/forumea.org\/resources\/standards-6th-edition\/<\/a><\/p><p>Principia College is an institutional member of the Forum on Education Abroad. The Study Abroad Office strives to be in alignment with the\u00a0<em>Standards of Good Practice<\/em>. The\u00a0<em>Standards of Good Practice for Education Abroad<\/em>\u00a0can be used as a tool to:<\/p><ul><li>guide program development,<\/li><li>evaluate program quality,<\/li><li>advocate for resources and support,<\/li><li>train new professionals,<\/li><li>educate stakeholders such as parents, faculty, students, etc.,<\/li><li>establish and maintain respectful, sustainable relationships between partners.<\/li><\/ul><p>The Forum on Education Abroad\u2019s\u00a0<em>Standards of Good Practice<\/em>\u00a0include Guiding Principles regarding:<\/p><ul><li>Mission and Goals<\/li><li>Collaboration and Transparency<\/li><li>Ethics<\/li><li>Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion<\/li><li>Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines<\/li><li>Financial and Human Resources<\/li><li>Student Learning and Development<\/li><\/ul><p>The\u00a0<em>Code of Ethics for Education Abroad<\/em>\u00a0provides direction to institutions and organizations involved in education abroad and helps ensure that students achieve the maximum benefit from their education abroad experiences. The\u00a0<em>Code<\/em>\u00a0assists organizations as they seek to provide services in accord with the highest ethical standards, with the ultimate goal that students\u2019 international educational experiences are as rich and meaningful as possible.
