Why you want to travel to Mongolia: Firstly, I love to travel, experience new things, and try different foods. Something that I find attractive about Mongolia is that the people have a strong connection to the land, which reminds me a lot of home, and I’m excited to discover the interconnectedness of our global community. I’m looking forward to expanding my own sense of community, within the abroad group as well as with the Mongolian people. I love geology, and what better place for learning about it than a unique place like Mongolia! I can’t wait to play in the Gobi Desert and hike around in the Altai Mountains. Also, Mongolians are known for their impressive horsemanship, one of my interests, so I am also really looking forward to riding some Mongolian horses and learning some new sweet skills!
